On March 2, Ding Chun, the Mayor of Changzhou visited LANXESS(China) in Shanghai and met with Ming Cheng Chien, the CEO of LANXESS Greater China in the afternoon.

Ding Chun said that as the leader of sustainable development of the global chemical industry and the model of green energy-saving technology, LANXESS had positively promoted the transformation and upgrading of Changzhou’s chemical and new material industry. We hope LANXESS group could further broaden the range of the cooperation with Changzhou, and introduce more outstanding German companies to our city.

Ming Cheng Chien said that Changzhou has already become the important base and R&D center of LANXESS in China with the city’s good development environment and quality and efficient government service.

LANXESS group of Germany has had its business all over 29 countries in the world, mainly focusing on the development, manufacturing and selling of plastic, rubber, special chemical products and chemical intermediates. At present, LANXESS has accumulatively invested 3 projects in Changzhou Binjiang Economic Development Zone with the total investment of over 380 million USD, and the company is planning to build the rubber production base of Greater China in Changzhou.
