On Oct 25, 2016 China Changzhou (Hong Kong) Innovation Integrated Development Promotion & Matching Conference was held in HK. It is the continuous 12th year of Changzhou holding city promotion activity in Hong Kong. The Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic Of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and near 100 guests from Hong Kong’s well known companies and Changzhou’s leadership Fei Gaoyun, Han Jiuyun, Li Xiaoping attended the conference.

Fei expressed appreciation to friends from every field who support and join in Changzhou’s development all the time. He said that Changzhou’s investment environment is even better now and it welcomes Hong Kong’s companies to come for cooperation. Changzhou government will offer more quality and efficient service. For the next step, Changzhou will strengthen the cooperation with HK in the following three aspects:

The first is science and technology innovation cooperation. Changzhou has attracted many high end talents and technology teams and will cooperate with HK to have more innovative talents and hi-tech enterprises coming to Changzhou.

The second is PPP project cooperation. Changzhou is accelerating the infrastructure construction and improving public service capability. Changzhou welcomes Hong Kong’s enterprises to join in the cooperation in PPP projects to promote the common development of the city and the enterprises.

The third is financial industry cluster cooperation. As Changzhou speeds up the transformation and upgrade of the industries, the demand of enterprises in financial service is growing fast. Changzhou Financial Business District will build a regional capital operation center, asset management center and financial service center. Now it is undergoing Phase 1 construction, and it welcomes Hong Kong’s financial agencies, investment agencies and construction companies to join in the development of the district.

During the conference, guests from HKTDC, Changzhou Chamber of Commerce in HK gave speeches to confirm their support to the cooperation between Changzhou and Hong Kong in science and technology, industry and commerce, finance, education, tourism and many other fields.

Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, Changzhou Financial Business District, Changzhou Intelligent Science and Innovation Park, Changzhou Graphene Industrial Park made presentations. AAC technologies had a road show as Changzhou’s science and technology innovation enterprise.

Changzhou and Hong Kong boast solid foundation of cooperation. Hong Kong enterprise established the first foreign-owned enterprise in Changzhou in history in 1984. By the end of last year, there are accumulatively over 3000 Hong Kong enterprises invested in Changzhou with 15.4 billion USD of actual foreign capital, ranking the first among all countries and regions investing in Changzhou.
