Electric motor companies have formed an industrial cluster of certain scale in Changzhou. Jiangsu Changzhou Economic Zone boasts over 100 electric motor companies and is dedicated in building State Torch Industrial Base of Small and Special Electric Motor. Today, the EPS brushless electric motor has been formally put into production in Changzhou. And it stands for a new level of the development of Changzhou’s green electric motor industry.

This morning(Aug 25) the Party Secretary Yan Li met the President Shigenobu Nagamori of Nidec in Jiangsu Changzhou Economic Zone.

Yan Li said that Changzhou is in the course of further opening up and deepening key projects, and will expand more cooperation with related Japan’s industries and strengthen the support to good companies.

Nidec Corporation is the No.1 smart motor manufacturer in Japan and the No.2 in the world with 234 factories. In 2012, Nidec acquired 51% of the shares of Jiangsu Kaiyu Auto Electric Company and established Nidec Kaiyu Auto Electric(Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. in Changzhou Economic Zone.

Shigenobu Nagamori said that Changzhou has created very good environment for company’s development, and Nidec will further increase the investment in Changzhou. And he hopes Changzhou could support Nidec as always.

Nidec Kaiyu EPS Brushless Electric Motor Formally being produced

This visit of the President Shigenobu Nagamori of Nidec to Changzhou is also a witness of the formal start of the Nidec Kaiyu EPS Brushless Electric Motor’s production.

EPS electric motor provides power for the auto’s power steering device, and this industry develops very fast in recent years, though the product suppliers are almost all foreign companies. Now the launch of Nidec Kaiyu’s EPS brushless motor has brought orders from SAIC, BAIC, Dongfeng and over 20 brands of Automobile to this company. It is estimated that the sales will reach 500 million RMB around 2020.
