On June 20, the Party Secretary Yan Li led Changzhou delegation to Macau for the promotion of communication and cooperation in various fields like economic and trade, science and technology, education, culture, tourism, etc.

In the afternoon, the delegation went to Macau University of Science and Technology to have cooperative negotiations. The MUST was found in 2000, and is the first international private research university after Macau returned to motherland. 

Now the MUST has become the important destination for studies in Macau of the students from Changzhou. Besides, this university is cooperating with Changzhou No.1 People’s Hospital on medical research.

Yan Li and the delegation mainly visited the National Key Laboratory of TCM Quality Research of the university. Yan Li expressed the hope of having more cooperation with the MUST above the foundation of Jiangsu-Macau Cooperation Zone.

The President of the university is very confident in further cooperation with Changzhou, and plans to strengthen communication on scientific research, education, medical treatment and other aspects with Changzhou.

The same afternoon, Yan Li also visited Liao Zeyun, Deputy Director of the Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese of the CPPCC National Committee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the MUST, Vice President of the Macao Chamber of Commerce, and hope that he could give support to deepen the cooperation between Changzhou and Macau.
