On May 18, the 11th China Changzhou Advanced Manufacturing Technology Achievements Exhibition opened in Changzhou Science & Education Town. More than 100 scientific research institutions and over 500 guests attended.

Zhou Jianmin, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial CPPCC, Wang Qin, Chief of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science & Technology, Yan Li, Secretary of Changzhou CPC Municipal Committee, Fei Gaoyun, Mayor of Changzhou, and other municipal leaders attended the opening ceremony.

Yan Li stated that though over a decade continuous effort, “518” exhibition conference has become an influential, important and sustainedly vital brand name science & technology activity. He emphasized that in the future, Changzhou will accelerate the promotion of the internationalization of enterprises, industrial parks, industries and innovation factors, further blend into global innovation network and integrate international innovation resources, push forward the opening and fusion and win-win of the cooperation of production, teaching and research, and let more science & technology blossom have rich production fruit.

At 10:00 in the morning, Zhou Jianmin, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial CPPCC, announced the opening of the exhibition conference.

A group of key projects and production, teaching & research projects of our city are signed at the exhibition.

The opening ceremony was hosted by the Mayor Fei Gaoyun. More than 300 experts and scholars from universities and institutions of home and broad, like Peking University, Tsinghua University, China Academy of Sciences, Cambridge, Israel Institute of Technology, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and over 1300 representatives of Changzhou enterprises, have attended the activity.

The same day 46 key projects were signed at the conference, including rail transportation, automobile and parts, carbon material, new medicine, general aviation, intelligent numerical control, robot and other fields.
