On May 6, the delegation from Stavropolskiy Kray, Russia, visited Changzhou. The Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang had a meeting with them in the Administration Center.

Earlier this year, the Mayor Fei Gaoyun led an economic & trade delegation to Stavropol, and had promoted bilateral cooperation relationship to a new level. Fang Guoqiang stated in the meeting that Monocrystal Group is a globally leading manufacturer of LED sapphire and crystal silicon solar cell paste, and is also the first Russian company to have investment in Changzhou. PV and new lighting are all strategic new industries of the city, and the government will spare no efforts to support these industries.

Meanwhile, exchanges on culture and education are very much expected too. By the end of last year, accumulatively 10 Russian companies have been approved, with 42.36 million USD contract capital and 11.53 million USD registered capital. During 1^st quarter this year, the trade between Changzhou and Russia reached around 63.9 million USD.
