CIIP: Thank you very much for accepting my interview Mr. Auinger. First, can you give a brief introduction about you and your company to our audiences? 

Peter Auinger : Thank you for having me! WINTEC is a 100% ENGEL owned company, which produces injection molding machines in Changzhou for China and the world.

Myself,My name is Peter Auinger coming from Austria.I’m 62 years old and have more than 35 years in plastic processing machinery building business.I joined Engel group in 2011 as managing director of Engel Mexico. I moved to the actual position to China in November 2013.

CIIP: What contributed to your decision to work in WINTEC Engel Machinery (Changzhou) Co. Ltd.? And Please tell me what do you think of this city, and how it has changed in your eyes since you have stayed here for more than 3 years? 

Peter Auinger : First of all, it’s a great idea of ENGEL group to produce with WINTEC, a second brand of injection molding machine in China. Second, it’s already mentioned, to produce WINTEC machines in China, which I think it’s the best place for such an idea.

I have stayed in Changzhou for more than 3 years, the city is developing very fast, our industrial park,the Wujin High-Tech Industry Park is providing excellent service and it’s a very good location for our plant.

CIIP:  Why did your company choose Changzhou as the investment destination?  Are there any aspects that need to be improved in your opinion?

Peter Auinger : That’s a result of several consideration, first of all, it’s in a good distance with good traffic connection to Shanghai, where ENGEL has its first plant and stock in China more than 10 years ago.

Second,in Changzhou especially in Wujin High-Tech Park, it’s very good for our business purpose.

Third, Changzhou is a really regional center for machine building industry, so we can find a good-educated and skilled work force for our company.

As I mentioned, Changzhou is developing very fast, for me, as an expert, there should be a little bit more international connections like kindergarten,schools, stores, but I’m confident this will come very soon.

CIIP:  How would you advise potential business entrepreneurs about bringing start ups to Changzhou these days? Where is the best potential here in the Dragon City?

Peter Auinger : Have a good management mix between experts,which have experience in the business and local employees. Make a clear description for each employee, get clear rules and advices and make sure that everyone follows this.

The beswt potential here in Changzhou is its ambitious and good-educated people.

CIIP: What kind of activities do you engage in during your free time here in Changzhou? 

Peter Auinger :After office hours, if I’m not on business, I’d enjoy social life with my colleague, dining, whatever.Changzhou people are very friendly.

CIIP: You told me you would leave for the headquarter in Austria soon. What would you like to say to the Changzhou and its people?

Peter Auinger : Thank you all for the good time you gave me here. I’ll miss Changzhou and its people.
