The second Building gypsum powder production line of Changzhou Saint-Gobain was put into production on Oct. 29th. Vice senior President of Saint-Gobain Group and Changzhou mayor Fei Gaoyun attended the opening ceremony.

Currently, CND has introduced a batch of World Fortune 500 Companies including French Saint-Gobain, German Lanxess, Akzo Nobel from the Netherlands just name a few and become the aggregate area of new material industry in Changzhou. Mayor of Changzhou Fei Gaoyun said in his speech that China has become the world’s largest building material production and consumption country. He hoped that Saint-Gobain Group would introduce more giant projects to Changzhou so as to achieve win-win situation.

In 2005, French Saint-Gobain Group has invested USD 113,600,000 RMB in CND and established Saint-Gobain Gypsum Building Materials (Changzhou) Co. Ltd. Last June, the group has invested nearly 100 million RMB to build the second building gypsum powder, thus the annual production capacity will increase 165,000 tons.
