Starting from Oct. 12th, Changzhou Trade and Economic Delegation led by Party secretary Yan Li has embarked on their journey of business promotion in Singapore and Malaysia so as to further expand the economic exchange and cooperation with Southeast Asian countries. On the morning of Oct. 14th, Changzhou delegation attended the 9th meeting of Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council. 

Vice governor of Jiangsu province Zhang Lei and Mr. Zhang Sile, the chief minister of the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore attended the meeting. The meeting fully affirmed the cooperative achievements between the two sides. At the 8th meeting held last year in Changzhou, Changzhou has signed 15 cooperative projects with Singapore and all of these projects are going on smoothly. At the “Health Jiangsu” Development Plan as well as Jiangsu Health Industry promotion seminar, Changzhou has briefed the guests about the development of Changzhou life health industrial park.

Some 13 cooperative agreements were signed between Jiangsu and Singapore at the meeting which integrate financial innovation, smart city, health pension service, environmental protection, healthcare, logistics, equipment design & manufacturing and enterprise acquisition. 

By the end of this June, Changzhou has approved 242 Singaporean enterprises and the actual foreign investment reached USD 1.19 billion.
