Development Direction

 

Intelligent CNC: focus on high-end CNC machines, automation complete production lines and key components such as 3D print, high-performance CNC metal cutting and forming machine, multi-spindle linkage machining center, laser machine and flexible manufacturing cell, etc.

 

Textile machinery: develop new type of spinning equipment and extensively apply digital design to improve electromechanical integration level and intelligent level.

 

Robot: put emphasis on industrial robots, nurture professional service robots, and vigorously develop high-performance servo motors and drives, high-performance controllers, sensors and other key components.

Developing Status

 

This industry begins to take shape. By 2015, there were 58 above-scale enterprises related to intelligent CNC and robot industrial chain of Changzhou, which realized the output value of RMB 22.7 billion and grew by 5.7%. Changzhou is also home to 39 high-tech enterprises and 50 "two stations and three centers"(academician workstation, postdoctoral workstation, engineering and technology research center, enterprise technology center and engineering center). The above-scale industrial output value of 2016 in this chain is expected to reach RMB 24 billion. A group of leading enterprises, such as Yaskawa, Mingseal , Emag and Agie Charmilles are fast-growing, and Yaskawa robots, Emag inverted CNC machines and Agie Charmilles high-end five-axis CNC machines are taking the leading position in the world as well.

 

Accelerate the major projects. In 2016, Changzhou has attached importance to promoting 13 major projects including intelligent digital industrial park in Changzhou Science & Education Town, Nabtesco precision reducer and QUICK weld robot, etc. As of this October, RMB 2.44 billion has been invested in intelligent CNC and robot industrial chain, accounting for 99.7% of the annual plan.

 

Innovation and R&D capacity get promoted. On basis of university, scientific research institution, engineering (technology) research center and enterprise technology center, the innovation and R&D platform has gradually formed. Such as Institutes of Intelligent Science and Technology Application Research, JiangSu and Chinese Academy of Sciences (abbreviated as ISTAR), Changzhou University Institute of Robotics, Changzhou institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, etc, a number of main scientific research institutions constantly enhance their innovative driving capacity.
