Changzhou, Wujin export processing zones have been both upgraded to comprehensive free trade zones, which are waiting for the national acceptance. In the afternoon of March 12th, Changzhou municipal Party committee secretary Yan Li carried out special investigation of two comprehensive free trade zones.

Yan Li had a detailed understanding of the existing projects, function and development planning in the next stage for the two comprehensive free trade zones.

Last year, Wujin comprehensive free trade zone completed industrial output value of 8.39 billion yuan, up by 30.1% year-on-year, cargoes imported and exported amount of 20.23 million tons, and the amount of customs declaration accounted for 65% of the city. There are 9 manufacturing enterprises, 13 logistics enterprises have entered the zone, which accumulatively absorbed 501 million us dollars in industry and commerce registration capital. In the next step the zone will accelerate realization of the transformation from the processing trade to service trade, building the five centers in manufacturing, logistics, trade, research and development and exhibition. Changzhou comprehensive free trade zone has introduced 11 foreign manufacturing enterprises and 13 trade logistics enterprises, realizing import and export value of 273 million us dollars last year. Further the zone will promote the functional integration with Changzhou port, Changzhou International Airport, and Changzhou railway, building the platforms of distribution of goods, product repair, exhibition and trade center and cross-border trade e-commerce.

    武进综保区去年完成工业总产值83.9亿元，比上年增长30.1%，进出口货物量总计20.23万吨，报关单量占全市65%，区内已进驻生产企业9家、物流企业13家，累计吸引工商注册外资5.01亿美元。下一步将加快实现从加工贸易向服务贸易转变，打造制造、物流、贸易、研发、展示五大中心。常州综保区目前引进11家外资制造企业及13家贸易物流企业，去年实现进出口总值2.73亿美元，下一步将推动与常州港、常州国际机场、常州铁路等功能一体化，搭建货物分拨、产品维修、展示交易中心和跨境贸易电子商务平台。
